A HUGE ‘Thank You’ to Our Customers!
IntoBedWeGo.com is making an impact with our giving. And we owe it all to you!
You may or may not already know that for every item we sell, we give to someone in need: for every bed we sell, we donate a bed; for every other item we sell, we give to a charity through our giving partner, B1G1. What this really means is that when we sell a memory foam mattress our customers give the gift of a safe, comfortable place to sleep to another human. What is really cool about the way our donations work is that 100% of the donated money goes directly to the charity– none of that money goes to administrative fees or hidden costs. That means our giving is more effective. We love this!
Currently, we are supporting the efforts of Habitat for Humanity India, which we have chosen to support since April 2011. As Mrs. Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of IndiaBUILDS puts it: “Building houses for the poor and the needy is a very noble work. A decent house is essential for anyone to lead a secure and comfortable life. It gives them dignity, gives them self confidence.”
Through our giving with B1G1, we have been able to provide shelter to someone in need for 186 days; or another way to look at it might be that 186 people received shelter for one day – it all depends on how Habitat for Humanity India decides put our donations to best use.
We may be a newcomer to the Internet Retail world and as a result, to business-based giving, but already we are making an impact with our giving. We owe that ability solely to our customers, so I want to personally thank all of you who have chosen to shop with us. You are the ones making a difference.
